About Medical Services: Standard Conventional Medical Practice Board certified in family practice Dr. Dayton provides routine office examinations and urgent, maintenance and preventive therapeutic care for adults, adolescents and children. As a primary physician he coordinates care with specialists in complicated cases. He is affiliated with hospital care at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center, several minutes ride by car from the Dayton Medical Center. Access to specialty facilities and university medical schools are also available. Nearby ocean front motel and hotel accommodations are available for patients visiting from out of town. Diagnostic services include pap smears; prostate examinations; anoscopy: laboratory for blood urine, hair, stool examination; cultures, EKG; skin biopsies; noninvasive ultrasound examination. Therapeutic services include: pharmaceutical medication; physical therapy; muscle ligament and joint injection; office surgery of skin lesions and lacerations; and counseling. Second Opinion and Research services are available for evaluating and planning individual health strategies. Insurance coverage for conventional services is governed by the law and patient's agreements with their respective insurance companies. Medicare, no fault insurance (motor vehicle), and worker’s comp are accepted for payment for covered service. Private pay insurance is accepted where applicable with advance agreement. Insurance companies including Medicare do not cover all services. The doctor does not participate in managed care plans, such as HMO, where the loyalty of the doctor is split between the insurance company and patient. In such cases the patient is usually required to pay out of pocket and collect any due benefits from the managed care company. Integrative Medical Practice Non-Standard Complementary & Alternative, Holistic, Natural, Preventive, and “Anti-aging” Medical Practices (integrated with or without Standard Convention Medical Care.) After traditional western medical evaluation, the use of non-traditional methods may be incorporated to reduce potential harm, improve results and satisfy patient preference.
